The CAMUGO® sports camera is automatically controlled by artificial intelligence.
Task
To optimize the infrastructure of the stadium with the latest technologies by installing an automatic video recording system that is able to capture every moment in the newly built stadium without disturbing the existing structures. The cameras must be installed according to the principle - "We record everything that happens in the stadium". The system should provide fast and convenient video recording functions by optimizing video analysis human resources with AI automatic recording and video analysis

Location of the cameras
The cameras cannot be installed in the center of the field
Due to the layout of the sports facilities, the installation of the camera required an individual approach. Due to the existing structures in the sports center, it was not possible to install the camera directly in the center of the field, because the view of the camera was obscured by the support column of the sports center.
The columns of the sports facility are 2m apart. Full sports center coverage would be available by installing cameras on each column, but this solution requires an unnecessary number of cameras and combining multiple camera streams into one high quality video would require too much server processing speed, which is not a financially optimal solution.
The cameras cannot be installed in the center of the field
We installed the devices on the two existing columns at 16m line, in this way the cameras can also turn to the adjacent pitches, thus saving the customer extra cameras and financial expenses.
Game broadcasting
The goal is not visable from the opposite 16 m line
When recording matches, with cameras placed on the 16m line, the camera cannot capture the entire area and cannot follow the events on the outer field.
Simply clicking a button changes changes the camera view angle
We were able to solve this problem with a module that moves PTZ cameras in synchronism. This allows recording to continue smoothly during a camera change.
Automation
PTZ is unable to capture the entire area to make a decision to switch
The analyst staff did not want to lose the possibility of automatically recording matches, so the automatic movement of PTZ cameras was also included among the "tasks to be solved" list.
Installation of 2 extra wide-angle cameras per pitch
Unlike our 8K systems, the tracking of events on the field is solved with separate, wide-angle cameras. These cameras monitor events and instruct PTZ cameras to move.
Because PTZ cameras are moved at the same time as real events, the system was only able to make appropriate predictions after a large amount of sample data.
Image quality
Digital zoom is squared after x4 zoom
In training mode, analysts rarely use full-track recording function. Seperate camera image quality was stated as an important criteria.
In the standard 8K image, the 1080p cut-out digital zoom would have resulted in a deterioration in image quality at 4x zoom.
Use of x30 optical zoom PTZ cameras
